One of the key principles of the federal territory’s development is the accessibility of its infrastructure, which creates conditions for new talent to develop among residents and guests of all ages.
Concerts on the federal territory
The federal territory is developing as a unique music and theatre venue. To ensure varied and balanced concert programmes, the Talent and Success Educational Foundation has set up an Artistic Expert Council made up of leading figures in Russian culture and the arts.
Concerts at Sirius began in 2017. In nine years the number of concerts has grown fivefold from 20, and in the tenth, anniversary season it will exceed 100. Over the same period audiences have grown more than tenfold.
Festivals
A new festival culture took shape in 2022 with three flagship events: the Sirius Spring Music Festival, the Sirius Grand Summer Music Festival and the Sirius New Year Music Festival.
The concert season opens in March with the Sirius Spring Music Festival, which supports young talented musicians and dancers. Soloists perform alongside leading orchestras that help talented young people pursue careers in orchestral music.
The main musical event of the summer is the Sirius Grand Summer Music Festival, with at least 20 concerts featuring star soloists, leading orchestras and theatres, and a wide variety of programmes and venues.
The Sirius New Year Music Festival is traditionally built around a theme reflected in its programmes: New Year and Christmas music, themed performances, and vocal, symphonic and choral works dedicated to composers celebrating anniversaries this year and next.
2025–2026 saw many events marking the anniversaries of Ludwig van Beethoven, Dmitri Shostakovich, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Carl Maria von Weber, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Alexander Scriabin and other composers.
From 1 June to 31 August 2026 the federal territory is hosting the Sirius — Rosa Khutor International Arts Festival for Children and Youth for the first time. The festival has become a new cultural environment showcasing unique musical phenomena and discovering young artists from BRICS, EAEU and other countries friendly to Russia. Its central theme is the national culture of Russia and the participating countries as reflected in the work of young musicians; alongside support for Russian art, the events also focus on ecology and architecture.
Outreach events
A busy concert season makes it possible to develop various forms of interaction between performers and audiences of all ages — master classes and meet-the-artist events, lectures and film screenings.
Last year 47 outreach events — lectures, meetings, master classes, a music quiz and open rehearsals — attracted more than 1,500 people. In addition, 23 film screenings during the Spring, Grand Summer and New Year festivals reached more than 6,000 viewers.
Developing talent in culture
To support alumni of the Sirius Educational Centre professionally, more than 30 of the country’s best students are invited every year for internships in cultural projects.
Since 2021 the Talent and Success Educational Foundation has run competitive professional development programmes for regional centre teachers and children’s art school teachers, designed to build practical skills in working with talented children and strengthen their knowledge and teaching competencies.
By field: music — 29 (320 participants), ceramic painting — 1 (14), painting — 2 (4), choreography — 1 (13).
In line with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation (Pr-1224, item 1a, 11 May 2022, and Pr-2371, item 4, 30 November 2023), more than 500 music teachers have been trained at the Sirius Educational Centre every year since 2022.
Congresses and exhibitions
Exhibition activity is growing actively on the federal territory, including work to make projects and programmes of Russia’s leading exhibition halls accessible.
In December 2025 Sirius opened an exhibition at the Federation Council for the first time. It marked the 10th anniversary of the Sirius Educational Centre and the 5th anniversary of the federal territory, both created on the initiative of President Vladimir Putin, and presented the territory’s key achievements — from educational programmes to the world-class Sirius Concert Hall.
In June the Living Word museum and theatre space opened, marking the 90th birthday of Lyudmila Verbitskaya, President of the Russian Academy of Education and of St Petersburg State University, Doctor of Philology and Professor. An exhibition on ten years of concerts on the federal territory will also open, presenting the history of the Sirius Concert Hall’s construction and the highlights of past seasons.
The Sirius Federal Territory positions itself as one of the country’s leading cultural and business centres, creating conditions to develop and support young talent and professionals in many fields. Sirius shares its unique experience through national and international events.
Among them were the first Sirius — Kazakhstan Talent Summits in Almaty and Astana in January and April 2026, held to discuss a plan for joint educational and cultural projects between the two countries.
